Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Glendale, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Glendale is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Glendale follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Very disappointing experience. We hosted an out-of-state cousin for a family sushi dinner, hoping for a memorable evening, but unfortunately, this restaurant fell far short of expectations. The unpleasant odor was noticeable as soon as we walked in. After a long wait, the food finally arrived and was, at best, average. We ordered an additional item, which took an unreasonable amount of time. After multiple inquiries, we were told there was an issue with the order, yet nothing was done to resolve it. Eventually, we had no choice but to cancel it. We chose this place mainly because our little one loves ramen, but we quickly realized this is a chain restaurant with very little of the authentic Japanese atmosphere, culture, or dining experience we were looking for. The menu is filled with fancy sushi names, but the overall experience felt more like a food factory than a restaurant focused on quality, hospitality, or authentic cuisine. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a genuine sushi dining experience or a place to enjoy quality time with family and friends.

We ordered baked rolls, Dragon rolls, ramen, and Dynamite. Unfortunately, the Dynamite with scallops was dry and not tasty. The baked rolls also seemed to be made with not very fresh rice. The ramen was okay, but the one in Burbank is much tastier. We would rate this place 3/5. Also, there were no high chairs for kids, which made it very uncomfortable to visit with a small child.

Good sushi spot in Glendale. I liked the Japanese themed booths inside. It's a good place for small groups or a date. The food is good too. Lots of sushi and rolls. The bentos are pretty good too with decent portion sizes. Good location with lots of other shops and restaurants nearby. Service was good. Friendly staff. There's street meter parking in front or pay lots behind the building.

Absolutely amazing food! We really fell in love with the interior design and the food. The only thing is that we were sitting next to the waitstaff area. They were standing right in front of us the entire time we were eating, which was a bit uncomfortable. But other than that, everything was great!

This Japanese restaurant has a funny and memorable name β Kopen β I guess it means Korean + Japanese! The food is amazing for the price. The ramen is super tasty, and their lunch special costs under $20 without taxes and tips, which is such a great deal. The noodles are perfectly tender, and the soup is rich and flavorful β thick but not overly greasy or oily. They also offer a wide variety of sushi. I asked the waiter, who was very smart and quick to respond, for a recommendation, and he suggested the Snow White Roll β it was delicious! A lot of protein, not too salty, and very well-balanced in flavor. For the appetizer combo that came with my ramen, I chose the sweet pork, which was incredibly tasty β it reminded me of traditional Chinesedish. The restaurant overall feels like a mix of traditional Japanese style with a bit of American and Korean influence. Overall, it was a very satisfying dining experience β delicious food, friendly service, and excellent value. Even though we drove two hours and got stuck in typical Los Angeles traffic, it was totally worth it! This lunch reminded me why people love LA: despite the traffic, the food scene here is unbeatable β better and chea
